Delphi has been on the path of Integrated Process Excellence and Continuous Improvement since 1997 when they began training their staff in CMII.  Since that time they have put 176 of their managers through the 12-day (6 course) CMII Certification program and a further 800 through the 5-day program.

Although 2008 was a bad year for the automotive industry in general, it was a great year for Delphi.  According to Fortune Magazine (Fortune 500) of the 17 companies listed in the Motor Vehicles and Parts category Delphi was one of only 7 that made a profit.  Delphi’s profit was greater than the 6 profitable companies combined.  On revenues of 20.3 billion dollars they made a 3 billion dollar profit at a time when many others in their sector are showing record debts and going to the wall.

As reported at the annual CMII Conferences, Delphi has truly transitioned from the corrective action mode to that of continuous improvement.
